I've been having a productive cough too. Usually during the night (very annoying) but also during the day. I've noticed it's when I'm tired. I never used to cough and I'm not sick. I am not a smoker, fit and healthy (or so I used to be before perimenopause!). Pretty annoying but at least it doesn't hurt. There is another post on here about the same thing ... Hope you find a reason for your coughingeek

oh dear , so sorry to hear about your cough. another post on coughing ?...ill have a look then.... the people around me say the coughing is due to indigestion  ( stomach issues) ...recommended drinking green coconut water daily.

Hi, it sounds like whooping cough. At our age apparently the vaccine starts to wear off and its been doing the rounds again. I had it two years ago, prolonged cough, sounds so like your symptoms. Had a test which proved positive. It gradually got better, but took about 9 months in all. Have a chat with your gp. Xx

No I don't think so as I am immunised against this as a requirement of my work (nurse) and my titre tested only 1 month ago as "immune".
