Hi there
Has anyone else out there out severe anxiety going to the doctors?
i have a suspected ear infection but my fear of going to the doctors stops me going!
worried they will send me for tests ans do my blood pressure which will send it sky high and give me a panic attack
is this just me?

yes,I get very bad anxiety going to most doctors. I have an apt. tomorrow and have been obsessing about it for a week. Pretty sure I won't sleep tonight. I shake when I walk in the clinic door. I just dread it.

i am the same way! Everytime they put that blood pressure cuff on, I panic! it squeezes so tight! I ask them to do the manual way but they dont 😦

Hi Amy,.you are not on your own I am exactly the same .I have white coat syndrome which is really getting me down as I have had surgery twice recently and at each pre op assessment my BP went sky high when normally ok and I just cant seem to calm myself down and Iam now reluctant to take my own BP at home as I am so anxious about needing to go to theGP if it is consistantly high .I feel really foolish as I am a retired nurse.I am thinking of having CBT
