Severe pin and needle sensation

Just some weeks back and i noticed a pin and needle sensation first at my fleets and hands which doesn't last for so long. This occurs anytime I'm inside the sun or feel pressured. Most times I get this funny sensation while arguing about football not until having sex with my wife becomes a problem. I did numerous test at the hospital and everything came out fine only for high cholesterol and low white blood cell. I used my drugs regularly but it worsen and I feel millions of this pin and Needle per attack. Now it becomes a panic attack which mess up my nerves and I feel like I'm going mad as it burn me so bad. Please advise me on what is best step for me to take. Thanks

Hi Ola. This was one of my initial symptoms too. I have since been diagnosed with b12 deficiency. Have you had your vitamin b12 tested along with folate and ferritin. Low b12 and folate causes high homocysteine which leads to plaque build up in the arteries. In the UK a level of 200 is deficient in b12 but some local labs have their range set much lower which can lead to a misdiagnosis. B12 is not a routine test. High mcv, mchc and mcv can point toward low b12 but if ferritin (iron stores) are low it can normalise these test results masking the deficiency.

Hi heather2612. I was thinking of meeting the neurologist tomorrow thinking this might be a sort of nervous disorder. I can't even attempt any activities not even a light jogging or normal morning push ups. Though I was told about something like mal nutrition and I'm now on the course of changing diet. I will take note of your advice and use more of B12 supplements but as it is I'm going through hell. Thanks a lot

B12 supplements will skew your b12 test results. Most people only find improvement by injections.
