Greetings!
I have been having severe stomach issues and my gi doctor can't figure out what is wrong! I was wondering if anyone has has the same experience and can offer any advice?
Symptoms:
-Excessive "soft" burping every time I drink or eat ANYTHING - even water - that lasts for hours after I eat or drink.
-Moderate to severe nausea every time I eat or drink.
-Upper stomach pain every time I eat or drink.
-Vomiting up bits of what I eat or drink (not severe, but chronically)
-Feeling of fullness after eating small amounts/inability to tolerate normal sized meals.
-MORE RECENTLY: Minor weight loss (6 pounds in the last month)
SURGERIES/TESTS/RESULTS:
-In 2018 I has a Nissan Fundoplication (esophagus surgery) for severe GERD. Since then I have had three esophageal dilations.
-Recent EGD's show NO reflux and my doctor says that the surgery is in tact and that my symptoms are not reflux-related (2021)
-Stomach Ultrasound = normal (2021)
-Gallbladder scan was normal (2018)
-Gastric Emptying Scan was normal (2021)
-Celiac's Disease Test was negative (2021)
My symptoms are worsening every day. The pain is intolerable and I can't really eat. I am at my WITTS END. If anyone knows what could be causing my symptoms, I would really appreciate some guidance. I do try to follow a low-fodmap diet due to a history of Microscopic Colitis. Please comment if you have had a similar experience, I would greatly appreciate it!
