Google Penis Vacuum Pump, that would help him raise a smile. There is also a drug called Alprostadil that can be injected into the penis or in pellet form where a pellet can be put into the urethra.

Has the practice nurse not raised the subject with him at his annual diabetic check up? They should offer the the non Viagra options if Viagra is contraindicated.

Hi Derek no the practice nurse has never asked him about his impotence and hewont ask her about it because he's too embarrassed to talk about it. Its knocked his confidence a lot over the years.

Speak to the nurse or doctor yourself or go with him.

It is a subject they are very sympathetic about.

Hi Mandy, this can be an embarrassing topic for many culures and ages. However, It shouldn't be, because what you have described is extremely common. It may be a good idea to do the research and talk to your Doctors about the meds that are being taken and any available alternitives. Then present the remedies and options to your husband - and let him know how he is definitely not alone.  Infact it is so common the Doctor most likely will not even give the visit a second thought. It may also be a good idea to tell your husband that your are doing all of this because you enjoy and desire him in that way. Good luck.
