Hi Mary,
It's awful to be in so much pain and I feel for you.
Not being an expert I can't tell from the photograph whether that is hemorrhoids or the swelling as a result of a hemorroidectomy. If it's swelling that unfortunately is incredibly painful at times and little can be done about it. It's a waiting game. I have read on this forum of many that are in pain months later and those that are pain free in a few weeks.
Of course if the pain has suddenly increased dramatically then do seek medical advice.
Sarah.

Hey I had a haemorridectomy a few months back but yours almost looks like another haemorrid? I may be wrong but would strongly suggest you see your surgeon or go A&E asap to get it checked out. Hope you get better soon
