Hi Guys,

I had my first fill on the 27th Feb and only lost 5 lb, I also have hardly any restriction?

Is this normal and is anyone in the same boat as me?

xx

I had my first fill on 5th march and have only lost 2lb, so well done you for losing 5!

I dont feel any restriction either. It seems to be a good 3 fills untill you feel most restriction and weight loss improves.

What sort of things have you been eating? I'm finding it do difficult to stay full.

Hi, iwas told it could take at least 3 band fills before I feel restriction, I was told to be patient, sometimes it works after one fill others more, once optimum restriction has been gained then the weight will fall, otherwise you will feel hungry and no weight loss

No, not for the 1st six weeks,,my stomach has become swollen, op was on Thursday and overnight it swelled up and blocked the band, when I had a yoghurt on Friday it just sat on the band, got hiccups ,drank some water then after about 20 minutes it was back out, felt like I had dry toast stuck, so I can only drink water, tea, I can't even drink slim fast as it too thick, but I'm not hungry, so all good my band is at nil and its a medium band that has been fitted, swelling should go down in a few days but I can oBly have water etc for the next 2 weeks, if the water doesn't go down then I need to go back straight away but I'm optimistic it will be fine, it's a long journey and I am not going to stop until I get to the end of the trip( I had to lie on my back and arch backwards so they could locate the port then they injected the port and drew out 0.3ml of fluid from the band). I not scared and no pain not even after the op, but reading all the comments every journey is different, I am amazed out how different we all are, I have had a bit of wind trapped in my left shoulder, that seems really common with everyone but not painfull

I wasn't to bad after my op, I walked to my local shop 24 hrs after lol.

As you said everyone's body is different and reacts differently. Who did you have your band with?

The only thing I don't like is when food gets stuck it's awful, other then that having the band is the best thing ive ever done!!!
