No!! I used to get the same crap at my worst. Certain stuff would just leave me feeling really anxious and uncomfortable.

    It's a soap it's NOT REAL

no one is hurt or  injured or dies there is no health anxiety to worry about why are you even thinking these things

why try to be ill I don't understand most with anxiety want to get better not to keep making themselves ill

come on kirsty  you don't need to let this bother you

read a sensible book with no violence just a heroine etc and get immersed in something pleasant and fun

I know it's just a soap but I cNt help how I feel. It's just how I am and obviously I'm not alone from reading above. If I see things like people being poorly etc even if it is only a soap I get panicky. I can't even have a conversation about someone being poorly without feeling it. I watched my dad die in front of me and it's scarred me.

      There

are so many other good programmes on TV that could take your mind off Eastenders  rubbish.ajust remember that at Christmas and NewYear they have to  make the story line more dramatic o keep the ratingps up.

There are  also some really good programmes on the radio, especially music, which can be relaxing. For example there was a good programme on this evening about Frank Sinatra presented by Barry Manilow. It was lovely.

i feel just as bad as you do most of the time, but especially at this time if the year I watch anything musical.

take care and feel better soon.

Hi Kirsty, no you're not alone. Eastenders is quite the most dreary rubbish one would hope to avoid.  No joy in simply being alive.  No urging the viewer to take a positive slant on life.  Instead,  just an unrelenting dripfeed of 'what's the point?'

This, along with all the other soaps are such bad news for anyone prone to depression.  Just what's the motive of the writers of this utterly depressing rubbish?

A new year: I hope it's a good one for you too.

Don't watch them kirsty they sent worth your oxygen use

I used to but then it seemed to be just misery and I'd feel yucky as no positivity

or if you do treat them as rubbish and say you gotta be joking  omgosh not really laugh at it another good Thing to do is hunt the mistakes in the cutting room they are really funny

    do get better

Avoid negative toxic TV. Those soaps are full of hate and nastiness. Children that grow up in family life portrayed in Eastenders develop anxiety/personality disorders. Watch wildlife/nature programs. Music.
