They do go eventually. Don't keep changing doses though. It took me 8 weeks to stay feeling better with my first dose. Changing all the time will do you no good. You won't know what dose benefits you because you're not on any one side for long enough.

I get headaches and 20mg wasn't helping them stay away. Thanks x

Please hang in there - I remember the side effect stage was like a living hell for me. I couldn't eat or sleep and I would go from feeling totally numb to every emotion under the sun. And constant jitters. Then almost overnight I felt better one day, I remember being so thankful and I've not looked back since. I feel brilliant now and honestly don't ever want to come off citalopram (it is my 4th time on them).
Promise - you'll feel better. Hang in there x

I was on them before but don't remember feeling so sh*t. I'm meant to be going to India in a week. And if i could just sleep I could cope with naseau etc.

At the height of the side effects I was going on holiday to turkey with my then boyfriend, now husband. The day before I was SOBBING to my mum that I couldn't go, I couldn't even imagine getting on the plane etc and she convinced me it would be good for me. I decided to take each moment as it came, and my real recovery happened during my time in Turkey. Still one of my best memories x

I am new to this whole forum thing and I am only posting, because I haven't found any discussion leading to how I am feeling.
I started Celexa almost 6 weeks ago. One week 10mg and I have been on 20mg since. After I had my period three weeks in, the following week I felt like a million bucks. This week, I am experiencing insane heartburn, stomach pain, cramps and nausea. I can eat if I need to, but at the the same time, the thought of food makes me nauseous. Just wondering, is it normal to feel like this? I know it takes time to fully be in my system, but the less I have to worry about the more I will start to feel better

It's unfortunately totally normal Kayleigh. At six weeks you might be one or two weeks off feeling tip top again so not much longer to wait x
