Had my 6 week check up with surgeon yesterday, great news I am officially back to normal! No aides, sleeping how I want and can drive. I am chuffed. Blot on landscape is the left hip is going the same way, surgeon is monitoring it closely.  Still pleased though biggrin

That's good news, I am still on 90 degree rule but I am back to work part time only, but I am like you I have got to see the surgeon in September with a view of putting me on the waiting list to have the other one done, never do anything once have to be greedy and have the other one done lol xx

Glad you can drive etc. I'm having to watch my other hip too which was replaced 15 years ago as there are some signs of wear in the cup section.

    Things are rarely straightforward!

Heh, back in the land of the living! So pleased for you- at least you will be monitored with other hip and not allowed to deteriorate too much

    Go girl!

    Hi Crossy.

I am also Blotted...And on the waiting list for replacement preop on 23rd July you need to play it up a little more and make sure that you get it done before too long, listen carefully to the surgeon, and let him know that you are in a lot of pain, more pain than last time, or you could wait 6 months...I am near the end of my pain threshhold, mine is so much more painful than my right, as he told me it was, but I said differently, as it felt differently.

Please keep posting how it is going, I think it is normal for both hips to go if and when they do, they are like Light Bulbs once one goes, they all go...YOu have to hope that your knees remain ok, mine are...Phew...

Kind regards and thanks for posting Ian +++

Hi Ian ... as I mentioned in another post, there are many of us who are in for the 2nd THR - almost at the same time ... good to have so many friends now - will be interesting ...

the  muscles around my knees are painful at times  - both knees, as one is getting back to normal and the other is trying to keep me balanced - catch 22 at the moment ...

      good night great guy ---

      warm hug
