Silly question really but when do all aches, 'gripes' and period like pain finally stop?

I know this is daft really because we are all different but when you have had an op all sorts of things go through your mind.  I am 5 weeks 4 days post A and P repair vagina and hysterectomy.   I still feel 'gripes' in the lower abdomen at times and slightly in the lower back.    Will this really stop one day?   It is the ache that makes me feel a bit low.    😔

I meant to add that the ache is similar to period pains.

I had exactly the same as you and I would say 10 to 12 weeks but generally better each week from 6 weeks. Hang in there.

I'm at 7 weeks and it gets easier from 6 weeks. I'm still getting pains and I'm so tired. It is getting better though. Hang in there x

Hi I'm 6mths a & P repair and I still get aches and pains if I do too much, hope I haven't dampened your spirit too much , I was told by physio that it can take between 8 to 12 mths to fully recover from this surgery but I think the aches and pains I feel at times could be to do with my age as well lol just take your time and get plenty of rest xx

Hi.......no you haven't dampened my spirits.....I have read it takes a good year for total healing.    I can deal with that and taking it easy but I think any pains later on would be milder (I hope)😳😳 it's certainly 'nippy' today and a bit ouch!
