sad i HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED 40MG SIMVASTATIN AS MY DOCTOR SAID MY BLOOD CHOLESTEROL IS HIGH - I AM TO GO FOR ANOTHER BLOOD TEST IN 6 WEEKS TIME BUT SO FAR i CANNOT GET TO SLEEP AM TIRED OUT IN THE MORNING AND HAVE REAL BAD PAID IN MY LEGS, MY MOUTH IS DRY TOO. i WILL CARRY ON TIL MY RESULT OF MY NEXT TEST BUT WONDER IF THERE IS ANY ALTERNATIVE?

    Rita, I too have high cholesterol but don't have any of the syptoms you mention. Have you mentioned them to your doctor? And, if so, what did he say?

    I was switched from a different statin to SMIVASTATIN and experienced terrible pains in my legs - stoppped me from sleeping.

    I went back to the GP who sent me for blood tests - awaiting results

    \"Important: If you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes) after taking Simvastatin contact your doctor immediately.\"
