Sleep aids

Hello all,

I have just weaned myself off of Zopiclone after TWENTY years. Yes 20 years. I think I get the boobie prize. Now my sleep is back to how it was before I started it. TERRIBLE. I have, over the years, tried all suggested ways to improve my sleep with no success. I am now trying natural remedies but little result. Can anyone suggest some type of sleep aid to help me sleep again?

Many thanks.

Good for you on tapering off. Thats awesome. For me, excercise/gym daily. Magnesium Glycinate at bed. No alcohol. Cut out junk, caffeine and sugar

Following Glenda as the only time over the years I have had any decent sleep is when I take something or when I was on Mirt.

I'm on Lexapro at the moment and it's the worst it's ever been..takes til 1.30-2.30am before I get to sleep and wake at 4am..sometimes I get back to sleep at 7am and sleep til 9am..crazy.

I weaned off Oxazepam a few months ago as even that wasn't helping and I didn't want to be any more addicted than I was...plus I need them for anxiety and they wont work anymore if I keep taking then regularly.

So, if there is something helpful, I'd love to know...herbal things don't seem to help at all.

    Cheers

I took 30mg of dalmane for 22 years. Tried to stop last year at this time and nearly killed myself doing it. Still taking 5mg per night and a zolpidem er. I supplement this with Melatonin, gaba, L-theanine, benedryl all available at Amazon.(except the Z) I am 72 years old. How old are you?
