Sleeping Positions

I have always been a front sleeper and one of my main worries was how was i going to sleep after my op.  Well its been 20 days since op and i tried lying on my front yesterday and found it really comfortable and had no pain at all, my question is would anyone else go to sleep on their front or do you think i should just keep on my back for a couple more weeks?

I think this is a personal thing.I like to sleep on my left side and i was doing this by about 12 days after.I would try and turn quite often on my right side as i used to get a lot of pulling on my left at the end of the scar.I took it slowly and now i lay any way i end up.For the first 3 weeks i wouldn't even pull the bed away from the wall or shake the duvet. It is like everything else if you get any pain you stop doing it.I have been so lucky so far with my recovery that i have to keep reminding myself what i have had done.

I was told in the hospital that there is no rule against sleeping on my side, and I have been doing that since the 2nd day, after I had my catheter out. I have a midline incision , though. I think sleeping on my front would hurt, but that's just me. If it's not causing you pain, double check with your nurse or doctor.
