Slipped Disc During Pregnancy

My wife acquired a severe slip disc after pregnancy. The ortho said she got it during pregnancy. However, my wife said she got it during her confinement month after our first child was born. We saw a total of 3 orthos. 1 of them suggest to operate immediately. The other 2 said can allow a bit of time until her urine drops out then rush her to the A&E.

However, we consulted the first 2 orthos about 2 month ago. 2 weeks later, we discovered she is 5 weeks pregnant (2nd child) and this was around the time we saw the 3rd ortho. This was also one of the doctors who said can wait until her urine fall, then operate. However, he did gave us 2 options - 1.operate immediately and risk losing the child 2. Can go ahead to wait for after delivery but this is going take risk in her own health.

My wife is now 36 years old and we do want a second child. Given her age, another pregnancy may not be so straight forward. I know I'm not talking to a group of doctors now. I just want to ask. If you were her, what would you do?

P.S: excuse my bad english which is not smooth to read.
