So confused.

Okay so first off I had a blood test about a month ago saying negative for hsv1 and hsv2 and then I slept with someone new and after only three days I noticed a scratch type thing in my lower buttcrack area...so I went to urgent care and they swabbed it and came back positive for hsv2. I'm so depressed and can't stop crying. I'm very confused. Can you have symptoms in only 3 days? Or could it be from the person I was sleeping with when I had my blood test. So distraught sad

P.S. Based on the timing of your symptoms, I strongly suspect it was the second guy. I developed symptoms within 1-2 days! What type of blood test did you get done a month ago? IgG?

I have feelings it was that guy too. It took about two days to notice after I slept with him. At first it just felt itchy and I didn't think much of it until I looked closer so I went to urgent care. I use to look down on people with this and now I feel so different. It's going to take me awhile to feel better. I'm not sure what kind of blood test it was but it was all negative almost a month ago

I developed symptoms that quickly as well. I knew EXACTLY who did this to me. Then one day I found Valtrex hidden in a shoe in his closet.
