Hi ladies

Oh it's been over a month since last post. Been through the wringer. My nausea and vomiting became so bad went into ER twice in one weekend. All tests were ok, lab , ct ,ekg, etc. few days later had gallbladder out. Had to stay in hospital as I got a huge hematoma and became anemic. But nausea got worse and worse so 4 days after surgery got endoscopy. Said it was gastritis. So been taking Protonix. Acid reflux is incredible. Nauseousness better but still get it a little daily. Lost 10lbs in 3 weeks due to lack of appetite. But worst thing now is my neck turning, diagnosed as cervical dystonia got worse after surgery and it severely pulling to the left. My entire neck is so stiff and painful. Mostly I'm is sitting all day icing it against the back of the couch. Tried driving but too difficult can't look to change lanes or back up. Got Botox treatment yesterday so praying that will give me relief. Please keep me in your prayers. I feel like mine are not being heard. ??????

Wish I was back to dealing with "just depression and peri".

I can't believe the intensity of it. Even the antinausea meds weren't helping. I'm seeing now that I have to change my diet and go really light on dinner if eating at all. Last night I just had banana and almonds and didn't feel hungry at bedtime. Felt bloated a little this morning. All my life I've been a huge breakfast eater but I think as I'm getting older that's changed.

Yes it was awful, I have a little hernia so I don't suppose that helps but in peri we get alot of acid reflux. It really did take some time to clear up, I waa put on omeprezole for a while but that was OK for abit but then unsettled my stomach with terrible gas, so went on to zantac. All caffeine, fat and alcohol had to be stopped, it seemed endless before it cleared totally x

Hi Sis. I am so glad you have posted on here again to let us know how you are; I was thinking about you & thought you were probably just recovering from your gall bladder surgery for a while, but it sounds like you've really been through the mill lately. Gastritis is awful, I've had it a few times & take 20mg esomeprazole daily to prevent attacks/acid reflux & have taken double that dose during attacks of gastritis to calm/subside it. the reflux is awful especially at night when it comes up & burns your throat & leaves you coughing uncontrollably. You will get better, just keep taking your meds & try not to eat anything spicy, no acidic fruit or juice to help your stomach heal. I hope the botox works for your neck dystonia hun. Did your specialist mention at all about cortisone injections? You can have 3 or 4 of these a year they help with many chronic pain problems to reduce pain & associated inflammation. Take care of yourself Sis, big hug to you. xxxxxxx

Sis! I've missed you! We even share gastritis. I never felt like it was the end of the road as I've felt with gastritis. Not even antinausea meds helped. Truly terrifying ordeal. Will have to really examine what I eat and try to manage stress as the doc said that may be a cause too. We women go through so much at this time in our lives!

      Hug back at ya!
