SO pleased with myself!

TKR done 1st March and today I've just done half a lap on the recumbent bike!  Yesterday did just a few revolutions, stretching knee gently, and today was so much easier!  I'm over the moon!:-)))

    Chris that is absolutely wonderful!

I am 7 weeks post op and I couldn't ride the bike that soon. Hope you have a speedy recovery! Dolores

Thank you Delores!  I truly don't think I could wish for it to be faster than it has been.  It's amazed me!  Just hoping the second knee might go nearly as well as this:-)))

Hi Chris. Good work. Try riding in reverse. Great for increasing range of movement. Slow, gentle and regular exercise is great for you, at this stage. Please rest too and don't do too much, too soon. Happy days!

.........and keeping adding to it. 15 weeks in and although only at 115 ROM I'm already back out on the bike. Regular cyclist before the op and really pleased to hit 35 mile on only second road ride last week. This was not without building up in the gym over about 8 weeks. Still continuing with WATT bike rides in the gym with interval training and leg building exercises. After gym session I always drop the seat down to a further three heights to help with the bend, peddling backwards and forwards. Follow this with stretching in the pool

All with the support of a good Physio and supporting consultant. Guidance given is that the rest of the movement will come in time
