So, so tired

Hi ladies, I'm 51 and peri.  For the past 3 months or so I've been feeling totally shattered.  No matter what I do during the day I always fall asleep in the evenings, or during the day if at home.  Any ideas what I can do/take to help give me some energy and strength to go through the day?  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    in only 46 and im tierd allday im trying to stay awake asoon as it gets to midday its horrible i feel shatterd all the time. im not working at the moment so i do t know how it afects people who have to work like this. i do look after my grandchildren and i have twins aged 7 i find it dificult just walking to school to pick them up i feel so tierd. my dr gave me hrt and i decided to start taking it today. im hoping it stops the tierdness thast the worset i think as i cant cope being tierd all the time i feel lazy and im not. i take vit c and multivits and drinking vegie smoothies but nothing is working i even tryed bei g more active but im so tierd just from walking around for an hour.

    Hi, try reducing your carb intake, get your thyroid and sugar  levels checked.....if no joy, loads of info here about vitamin and mineral supplements...magnesium really helped me. Good luck. X

    Hi mami, I was feeling the very same away so i took sum great advice from the ladies here an started taking high doses of vitamin b6,12.vit c,the vitamin b12 gave me good energy,an magnesium celated. be careful with the magnesium as it can upset ur tummy.i still have bad days, weeks but the majority I feel sooo much better.hope maybe this may help u.take care.

    Hi,I'm 46 and I was feeling tired all the time,I ve started drinking a vitamin shake,it's helping my appitite as that was very poor,I m sleeping a little better and I have more energy,I still get momments when I m shattered and my aches and pains still bother me but on the whole since starting the shakes I am feeling a bit brighter x

    You should have your thyroid checked out and your iron maybe vitamin b will help you and give you some energy 

    You should check to see if you have sleep apnea too
