So tired of this...

Lay down to sleep about 1.30 am this morning, woke up at 5am terrible nausea.

I'm so sick and tired of these symptoms, I feel really ill, how much more of this can I take. Also getting rushes of adrenalin, feeling woozy, hot then cold. I'm starting to worry that my mental health is reaching a different level, just don't know what to do anymore

      Hiya

I was on mirtazapine for a year. Been off it six weeks.

Hope you dont mind me asking. How long was you on it. Is there any long term side effects. Im considering going back on it as I feel awful with this withdrawel.

I gained weight and had restless leg on it x

Hi Michelle. I've been on Mirtazipine for years..10 years and over. I take it to help me drift off, unfortunately it doesn't help me sleep but if I don't take it, I find it difficult to nod off when I get into bed. I too have restless legs sometimes and it upsets me. One thing that I learned was that you need to take the lowest dose of Mirtazipine. I take the lowest which is 15mg. You can take 30 and 45 if you need to but it can have the opposite effect and act as a stimulant. I couldn't sleep much at all when on the higher dose.

I have thought about giving melatonin a go to wean off the Mirtazipine. Have you tried something like that? I would think you'd be okay to go back on the Mirtazipine if you needed to.

      Hi hum

Wow that's a long time. I was also on 15th.

I've seen my go today and as I've had no period for five months she suggested I go back on it to get me through the worst of the peri symptoms.

I'm considering it as my anxiety off them has been quite bad.

She said it was fine for me to be on them long term.

Coming off them wasn't easy but I've managed six weeks so far.

      Thanks for replying x

girls, you have been so brave and i like your resolution

    im gonna try it too

was wondering - can we just love ourselves a little more without focussing on the symptoms to be aware how wretched we actually are ?

i think we need to love ourselves more and more

I agree gentle, we all need to be kinder to ourselves, that would help a lot

I'm in too. What helps me is to use affirmations over and over like "it's ok I can go at my own pace" or "I can handle this" or "this too shall pass" or this one "I love and approve of myself and I trust the process of life".
