Soft painless swelling beneath my tongue. What could it be?

I've had this swelling now for about 2 weeks. I noticed it when I bit it since it comes between my molars and I had a small injury on it but it soon healed but the swelling remained. The swelling is soft. When I touch it it doesn't feel like a bump. I thought the swelling was reducing but I woke up today after a nap feeling some irritation. In other words Im noticing it whereas I don't usually "feel it" . I don't know if I bit it in my sleep or if it's something else. I'm a 24 year old male. I would appreciate getting your opinions on it. I have posted some pics.

    This could be some sort infection... Have you consulted a dentist?
