Soooo confused!!!

Hi everyone!

I haven't posted on here for a few days I've been trying to work out my food BEFORE i put it into my mouth! I NEVER lost any weight in my first monthly weigh in sad

I sent off for the British Heart Foundation book and found it very good. Now I've started to count the portions of food I have each day. But I'm getting myself confused  I'm counting 'portions' of foods, calories and fat content :!: By the time I've counted all that lot and eaten it, its time for another meal to be COUNTED :!: :!:

I'm still excercising but cut 2 days out this week because I felt so tired last week  I HAD plenty of PMA (positive mental attitude) but its gradually disapearing - instead of my weight :!: :x

HELP :!: :!: any advice would be appreciated

    Hi Sweetheart,

    You must be gutted!!

I can see what you mean about being confused!!

Perhaps if you just follow the portions and keep an eye on the fat it might be a bit less confusing. The portion sizes in the BHF booklet are based on 1500 calories a day for women and 1800 for men (have a look at page 10 of booklet).

Otherwise you could ring the Xenical MAP helpline and see what info they've got! It should be more suited to use in conjunction with the pills.

I've got mine on order at the mo, can't hurt to take a look, eh?

    The No is 0800 731 7138.

    Hope this helps

Thank you ur words are a pearl of wisdom to me (ur my rock! if u dont mind!)

I've just been on the Xenical web site and I'm so full of percentages, numbers, fat, calories and portions at the moment even thought of just counting weight watchers points at least thats only up to 20 :!: given myself a headache sad and lost the plot completely :?

I think I'll get the weekend over with, and start again on Monday :? I know I wont go crazy coz I've been dieting for so long it goes against the grain to REALLY let myself go  I gotta sort out ONE system and stick to it.......not sure what one though

    Thanks for the support :cuddle:

    Hi L'il Jan

It is all confusing so I am trying to keep it simple. I am as weall are expert on WW and Rosemary Conley and have struggled to keep it up. The tabs are a deterrent for me and make me think before I eat ehich is step 1.

I am looking at fat per 100g and making sure as far as poss it is 5% or below . Then Iam adding up the per portion fat to see how much fat per meal. Healthy food is low fat and ok on cals. It is the low fat crisps etc which are higher in cals so i am avoiding all that at the mo til had some good weight loss. Been on tabs 5 days and lost 3 lbs with headaches for 3 days and some bloating. But no probs with toilet!!

Look at Rosemary Conleys recipes etc as she is low fat but tasty. Made Spag bol last night and didn't feel like dieting - tasted better than using Ragu etc.

    Hope this helps.
