Sore bottom after sitting following thr

Posted , 6 users are following.

I am two years post op following a total hip replacement. All went smoothly and I have been extremely pleased with new hip, despite a 11 mm leg difference, for which I use a raise. Recently I have been experiencing a very sore bottom on that side following sitting in the car or plane for any length of time. A sort of smarting/throbbing sensation. Has anyone else experienced that? Be glad to hear.

Could it be sciatica? I'd mention your symptoms to your doctor just to be safe though. Hope it eases soon.

Have you seen a Doctor about this? I am not saying it is, but it could be a muscular problem.
