I'm 39 years old and for the past 3 years on and off sometimes it's been ok for 6 months my breasts are sore for about 3 weeks out of every month. I had a colposcopy in September 2016 because my cervix was a funny shape but that all came back clear. Ever since having a termination in July 2016 and having the coil fitted which I only left in for 6 weeks I have had intermittent brown discharge which mostly is about 3 to 4 days before my period is due ( noticeable after intercourse) or sometimes it is just after ovulation. It's not a lot and it's like the very very tail end of Period. I have had swabs taken and they all came back clear. Has anybody else had this and should I be worried. Starting to think it is all totally hormone related especially with the fact I've also an emotional wreck for about one week out of the month too.

I messed up my birth control one time. Trying to skip a period for a cruise. And my OBGYN at the time had me all messed up telling me to double up like twice that week. Then told me not to take it a day then take one....I don't know what she was doing but I NO LONGER see her nor will I ever AGAIN.....
Anyways at that time I bled for 4 weeks ....so much for trying to skip a period right? I ended up having one the whole month. Anyways that was in December of 2016. January 2017 I started having really bad panic attack and anxiety....I started being very emotional around that time of the month. It seemed like the ONLY time I felt "normal" was the week I was on my period. In April of 2017 my GP took me off of the birth control and it literally took almost 8 months for my period to get back regular. I would still have one every month but it would range anywhere from 21-32 days apart and it might last 2 days or it might of lasted 8 days. I have never had PMS symptoms before that thing with my birth control but now I do. My periods have became regular now and have been for the last 3 months. But i get that brown blood discharge stuff you are talking about. My breast also get tender twice a month, right around my ovulation and again right around my period. And as far as emotions go, my husband hits higher grounds about 7-10 days before my period starts....definitely 2-3 days before it does and until about 2-3 days after i start. I am 30 years old and never had PMS or anything close to it until I was 28. My doctors "say" all this can start anytime in a female's life. I question it. But just so you know...you are NOT alone!
