I recently had had my Spinal Fusion hardware removed at L5-S1 Removed and an SI Fusion. My question is how is the recovery time for the removal and what to expect in regards to healing?

i am curious as to why you had it removed? Did it not fuse? I have hardware at L4/L5, L5/S1 . while my sciatica was resolved I eventually had RFA done which has helped greatly for 17 months so far.

same question why did you have hardware removed? I have a broken screw and they dont even wanna remove mine so Im curious.

Hi,
I had two Spinal Fusions in 2014 the first time the 2 screws broke within 6 months.. So fast forward 2 years later my back pain and new problems occurred and after years of Shots to get rid of pain they stopped working . I started feeling the hardware just under my skin and causing a lot of pain.. I basically just told the doctor I wanted it removed since my bone has fused I want to eliminate anything and everything that might be causing me pain..
