Spinal stenosis and rls

I am kind of concerned with this medicine because it is of course a depression/mood stabilizer. I have enough physical problems I do not want to compound my problems by messing my brain chemistry up.
I do suffer with pain everyday and even during my sleep. And even worse when both work on me at the same time.
My question is, does anyone else on this forum suffer from rls and if so does this medicine help?

Hi Diana I can only comment on my own issues BUT I be been taking amitriptyline 30mg every evening for the past 6/7 months due to hormonal issues and excruciating muscle pain and I can honestly say that they have helped me. I was one of those people who hated taking pills but because of a terrible time with hormones over the last 18 months (menopause) I honestly could cope without them. I think it's totally changed my way of thinking and I have to deal with the issues that I have now and take each day at a time I hike that's helped you xx

I take 250mg each night for serious depression and it seems to have made quite a difference. I can't say I've found it useful for pain, I suffer from arthritic feet and knees but it certainly gets you off to sleep.
