I've decided to go ahead and try some medical intervention as nothing else seems to be working.
I took my first tablet when I woke up at approx 07:15 but didn't eat until around 09:00 (not sure if this makes a difference). I lost my appetite all day which is un heard of, then I vomited twice at work around 2pm and ended up going home and being sick again about 2:15 and was exhaused. I have also had a dry mouth all day.
I know this is a common side effect but really can't have this affecting me at work as I am in a new job.
Is this likely to settle soon? I'm worried about taking tomorrows dose, is it better to take at night?

sorry to hear you are feeling so sick :-( I had the same, my my dad passed away, had fights with mum, awfull time, nightmares depressed, smashing things up, crying all the time, a bit phyco really, suicidal thoughts so doc put me on cit. I felt the same as you, and had grinding teeth, could not eat, doctor said effects were normal and would pass, I persisted 2 more days, but could not get out of bed and like you could not go to work, and I could not have that, so I came off them against my doctors advice, then he just put me on sleeping pills, zopiclone, so I get a good night sleep, without nightmares and have councelling and walk and swim and eat properly. THis worked much better for me, obviously I still cry, have panic attacks and cannot breath and sometimes wonder what is the point of it all as we all end up the same way :-( only you can decide what works for you, people marvel over these drugs, and do a lot of help for a lot of people from what I read, but I decided to opt out before I was hooked and had to go through the whole side effects when coming off them. GOod luck in whatever you decide to d. I think the side effects can last a few weeks. Xxx

I have always taken my 20mg tablet before going to bed, sometimes Ive had a dry mouth during the night but not during the day. It was about a month before the side effects wore off. I normaly get a good nights sleep but sometimes wake up withaching legs, this normaly dissapears after 10 minutes of moving about. I dont think my aching legs is a side effect because thats what my doctor put me on
citralopram for.
Good luck and best wishes.
George.
