I'm not on HRT but if I were I know my anxieties would be up the roof too. Yes I do have anxieties and I take Zolft and ativan to calm it down the only thing I am on for Hormones is my Levothyroxine for my thyroid

I would go off the HRTs if you are having a lot of anxieties and try something else for it.

    Hi Laurie!

Ohhhh....I wonder too....too much estrogen can make anxiety way worse. My GYN put me on the patch 1/14 and same thing happened. I didn't need estrogen at all. Made things way worse, I only lasted 8 days on it.

Then I was given biodentical progesterone to level off naturally increased estrogen and that has  helped with the high anxiety I was experiencing. I rarely if ever now, take the sedatives prescribed in my early years of peri now, thanks to that.

My insurance covers the Prometrium (no horse urine) as it comes in pill form and even if you don't have insurance, I believe the creams (which I was using, works as well) and doesn't break the bank using them.

Not sure why you are on the estrogen. Why not talk to doctor and see if you can try just progesterone and ask about the testosterone as well?

No need to suffer like this.

    Good luck!

    Annie xx
