HI, I have started taking these tablets today, can anyone tell me about their experience on these, I have heard various stories, some good, some bad, what are the essential foods that I need to avoid in any quantity? Does anyone have a diet plan that I can follow? Help!!!

I usally have high fibre ceral and milk for breakfast, ie. shredded wheat
Lunch is either weight watchers soup with a slice of bread
or a sandwich with ham, laughing cow extra light cheese spread instead of marg
Dinner I am keeping to weight watchers meals I sometimes add more veg as at the moment I haven't worked out my recipes for fat content
or I will do chicken breast with baked potato and salad
or smoked haddock with new potatoes and veg
I have supper which is the same as breakfast because I am diabetic and need to keep my sugar levels up for overnight.
At each meal I make the fat content up by eating a few nuts.
As yet, touch wood, no dreaded side effects. I have read these usually happen if you eat more than 15g of fat per meal.
Good luck and keep with it.

Take it one day at a time.....one meal at a time....good choices all the way. It will pay off. Best wishes for the days ahead.

that is quite correct. We have all yo-yo'd may times. I also sent to slimming world and lost 8 stone!!! Then put it all back on plus it's friends!
So now I am on the orlistat plus basically following the slimming world green plan. Makes me feel healthier if nothing else!
Yes, there can be nasty side effects but you will soon learn what they are (in my case, indian food). You do need to have some fats in your diet to keep yr metabolism ticking over but keep it below 15g per meal and you should be fine.
