Hello,
I'm starting week 11 tomorrow on fluoxetine 20mg. The last improvement that I noticed was the fact that the lights and my sight perception seems more vivid now. Everything used to be gloomy, kind of monotonous.
however, I still have no motivation or interest for anything and insomnia is still bbothering me. I'm still taking a sleeping pill, which my doctor says he will wean me off of it once my sleep settles. My doc added lithium 300mg and I've been on it for about 3 weeks. It's suppose to help the fluoxetine.
I know this med takes time, but should I keep waiting? As I said, I have seen improvement but very gradual.
My doctor has a TMS therapy practice as well. We both agreed to start TMS next month if things don't improve. Has anybody had TMS therapy?

Hey Moises,
I was reading your discussion and it surprised me because all day today I've been crying and feeling very bad and prayed and for god to give me a sign if I should try tms because I just feel like I'm just losing hope, Ive been a week that I stopped flu and been taking wellbutrin since then but I just feel ashamed and feel as tho I'm always gnna be dependable on these medications.. Plzz let me know how it goes with tms I've read online and heard testimonials of people that it just sounds too good to be true.

I will keep you posted Vicky. I'm schedule to start on October 3. There is a lot of good reviews and also a few negative ones. My insurance will cover it, so I'm going for it. You sound like a woman of faith. Please keep me in your prayers and I'll do the same.

Vicky and Jessica,
My doctor prescribed me Deplin, which is considered a high folate supplement to help antidepressants work when depression seems to be resistant. It is not a drug, however you still a prescription from your doctor. You can google it and read the reviews. Today is my first day. I'll keep you posted.
PS: The only downside is the price. Most insurance companies don't cover it. I had to pay $60 USD for a month supply.
