Still Having Problems

I had my gallbladder removed 10 weeks ago and I'm still

not able to eat much . I keep getting pains where my gallbladder used to be. I feel bloated and queasy . I'm fed up with mash and fish.

Anyone else the same ? Any ideas on what to eat would be appreciated. I can't have soup due to IBS , no salad , veggies , meat ,

cheese all because of IBS . Only eating tiny amounts but would love

to add more to the small choices I have .

    Hi

I remember getting pains on and of for a year I just figured it was all healing and now my bile was coming straight from my liver and it needed to adjust ..

if it’s just a dull ache it’s quite normal if u are in agony get a scan done to make sure no stones have been left ..

sadly this whole situation is stressful and it has no doubt triggered your IBS plus your digestion will be different now .. and your IBS May have been triggered by the change some of us have less bile dripping into our stomachs continuously and some have more .. so u can have constipation and struggle to digest gluten I have this or diahreah .. try to just give your body time ..it will adjust

I can't eat soup of any kind , it gives me awful cramps and diarhea .

Quorn is out , it has ingredients that I can't tolerate.

The nutritionist has written to my GP to say I am malnourished but there

isn't anything they can do as I just can't have so many foods .

      Thanks for your suggestions .

Did you remove the gallbladder for stones or less functioning? if less functioning, did you rule out other issues like gastritis, acid reflux, etc ?

Since you have stomach cramps and diarrhea  for 10 weeks, fish, meat, chicken are not going to help you heal. Are you trying a good diet ? did you try taking colestipol to stop diarrhea?

Also do you deviate your mind from thinking the issue for long time  and are you physically active?

i have many episodes like you mentioned, but it takes atleast a month or 2 to see it fixing on it own , no restaurant food, no meat, fish, etc. should have only easily digestible food. Should be very strict on diet to see the results.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I can't eat many of  the  things that  I used to be  able to eat either.  I have gone gluten free. Can you eat scrambled eggs, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, or rice chex cereal ?  I can eat bananas and apples, also fruit cups.  I have been told to not eat cold foods.  I drink a lot  of hot decaf tea.  Also, there is a drink by Nestle called ProNourish It is gluten free and for people with digestion sensitivities. It comes in vanilla, chocolate and banana strawberry. It's pretty pricey around here however $13.99 for 6 and I can only find it at CVS   I don't have any problem drinking it.  Sometimes it takes a long time for the body to adjust to not having a gallbladder. It's been 6 months for me and  I'm still waiting.  Good luck to you in finding  things that you can eat. I know  how much you are suffering and I sympathize with you.
