Still needing pain meds after 9 weeks post op for TKR

While I have cut down to just 3 pills a day (1 in morning and 2 when I go to bed at night), I still need them. Sometimes I need them in the afternoon as well. I am currently on tramadol. I am wondering if this is normal. I have liver disease, so I am unable to take tylenol or any nsaids. Any suggestions or comments?

I think this is fine according to my drs. I am at 11 weeks and just starting to taper down to one Tram at night, along with ibuprofen. Then I take 1/2 Tram in the morning and 1/2 in the late afternoon. My dr said ibuprofen is more appropriate for my stage of recovery than Tylenol.? But if you hurt, you hurt. Allow yourself to take the meds. if needed.
