Hi Cazy, you will be. I am 4 months out and I look knackered!!! Sleep is still not great even though I can sleep how I want. Hoping for some sun to bring me round. Relax and go with it, you will get better honest! x

Forgot to add, I never kipped in the days post op, I was up from around 6 til 10pm, horrendous sleep but bit like jet lag, see it through to tiredness later. Now sleep better but not as long and deep as it was pre op.

Don't worry it does get better. Once you get passed the 6 week milestone and start getting out and about again you should see a difference. I remember that in the first couple of weeks all I wanted to do was sleep.

    Hi Cazy

I am now just past the 6 weeks and the last few days have been better for tiredness. Slowly but surely i am starting to feel human again.

Haven't gone to bed this week during the day so for me this is a big difference. I was shattered for the first 5 weeks and i'm 51.

And saw consultant today and got all restrictions lifted apart from bending down to pick up stuff of the floor.

I can now drive which is what i missed most!

It does get better Cazy so do hang in there.

    hiya Cazy1010

I am feeling same , i am 58 this year and 7 weeks post op with my right hip. I had left hip done same time last year . I am shattered . I sleep most of night ok , rarely any pain unless i over do it in the day time .

I had low iron levels after op , so had tablets ...but only for two weeks .

I am hoping i will start picking up soon , being tired all time is getting me down 😴🙄🙁

5 weeks is early days - don't beat yourself up, it takes time for the body to readjust.
