Still symptoms coming on since on HRT patches

Posted , 7 users are following.

Hi ladies

I expect you all know I started the Evorel patches 6 weeks ago.

They have improved certain things quite a bit.

However the last few days not I'm not right.

Yesterday still burning mouth and tongue and burning cold nose.

Severe headaches,tight chest and anxious.

The last 3 nights awake every hour.

Is it the estrogen? Do I need more or less?

What if my doctor isn't helpful this time like other times.

I think I need my hormones tested but where?

Can I demand this?

You may need to increase your estrogen, or it could be the progesterone causing the symptoms.  The doctor can try you with a better progesterone which you would use with a estrogen gel.  The good thing about the gel you can increase the dosage yourself.

Hi Michelle, you need to give it a bit more time. What strength are you on. I was on the 25 mg the lowest dose and found them great eventually. You can always go up a strength if needed

    Hi Michelle,

Maybe give it a bit longer, I had a great first week on HRT but by weeks 6 to 8 some symptoms horrible taste nausea and yuk feeling got worse before at 10 weeks went away completely.

Now I don't have many symptoms unless I forget a dose. Just coming up to 6 months on it now and recovering I think because I've felt so awful for so long it may take a while to get right over it, I'm regaining my strength quite well now.
