Stitches

Hi Ladies

I hope you are all doing well, I wondered if anyone could answer my question on stitches.  I am now 23 days post of full lap total hyst keyhole style but seriously cant remember if I was told the stitches would disolve or to go and get them out.  I know that's a little bizarre but I think I was simply overwhelmed by it all.

The thing is my belly button seems to be weeping a little, the stitches seem fine there and on both sides but the weeping is very sticky and well (apologies for the graphics again) have a disgusing odour.  I'm in the bath every day and the area itself is really clean albeit still quite red and sore looking but every morning the are is very sticky and smells horrible and I'm not sure if that's entirely normal or should at least NOT be happening after this length of time.

Any advice would be gratefully apreciated.
