Absolutely! Your symptoms are very typical.  I had stomach issues for several months.  The shoulder pain, left elbow and aching joints started well over a year ago.  My toes ached at one point.  It's all related. Read some of the other posts and you'll see plenty of people with the same issues.  If you have trouble navigating, try reading threads related to my posts. You will see others going through the same thing and steps we've all taken and are taking to deal with it. You are far from alone!

Have you tried massage and chiropractor for the aching. I find massage tremendously helpful with pain.

Yes it came on suddenly.  OBGYN was cluess about stomach issues but I never had them till my big bleed and then my ablation.  I take an antacid and I'm going to an allergist to see if I'm suddenly allergic to some foods.  It awful.

Monique, I'm going to be honest.  My heatburn was so bad that I lost 25 pounds in 3 months.  I could not eat.  I urge you to run to your doctors and get DELIXANT it take 4 weeks before it takes hold.  I had an endoscopy to ensure that there was nothing serious going on.  I ate bananas, cream of wheat and protein shakes for days and days.  I can now eat but it's always there.  I will never forget what happened to me when this all started.  I also take prozac incase the problem is depression due to hormonal change.  You brain and your gut speak to each other.  Let me know how you do.  I'm also dealing with chronic fatigue and because of that I lost my job.  I'm getting better though.  I have support.

Morning Lacies,  I totally agree, pains in legs, elbow, shoulder .....

I always thought it was arthirities  rolleyes but Im experiencing exactly the same as you all in menopause, I have been on HRT's since 2002, and all was fine, until 2 years ago when I started with the heartburn,  it was soo bad sometimes it hurt,  so now I just dont eat any spicy foods which seems to help a bit

as we age our body tends to produce too little stomach acid, hence, acid reflux. I had terrible reflux some years ago. I took betaine HCI, a natural product that gives you trhat necessary acid for food digestion. Made an amazing difference!! It helped so much eventually I didn't need to take anything for it and was able to eat foods that made me sick before. Previously had been on Zantac which helped short term but eventually just made things worse cause it reduces acid. Sometimes acid reflux comes from too much acid and sometimes it's cause of too little stomach acid and it takes a long time for our stomach to digest food and sometimes then we get indigestion and heartburn.
