    Any home remedies out there?

other then not wanting to eat because of the nausea and gagging reflex, I guess I'm ok, lol. I do get acid reflux from time to time but at least it's not constant! 🙄

Same here. I have gerd real bad. My tips: Stay away from pro pump inhibitors. They reduce stomach acid and just makes things worse. Reduce alcohol and spicey food intake. Take tums before bed. HCL pills are supposed to work and apple cider vinegar with mother works as well. Menopause slows down our digestion. That's why the heartburn gets worse.

You can have genetic digestive issues and the damage worsens around menopause. My mother’s side and both my girls have been diagnosed with numerous digestive syndromes. My second girl was premature andcwas bor bwith GERD.  I wish had known I was allergic to gluten , eggs, etc.  fast forward 16 years and both my girls have tested for more food allergies than I have.  Our digestive symptoms have improved with our diet changes. It’s hard to change a diet you’ve have for 50 years but it can be done.  I feel so much better. The gym is next. Gotta age gracefully and give it all I got.  I have too much to live for and I was tired of being miserable.

      Hi Sue28162

The “mother” in apple cider vinegar is the sediment that you see floating in it.  It contains raw enzymes and gut friendly bacteria that make it especially good for digestive health.

Yes! I have every digestive issue - nausea, heartburn, super gassy, and gastritis. I am going through a really bad spell of gastritis right now. It started Monday evening. It got very bad Wednesday night. Ate literally nothing for 24 hours. Could not tolerate food. It has eased up a bit but I am still struggling. I take a digestive aid throughout the day that is a combo of aloe Vera, marshmallow and slippery elm. It helps a lot with acid. I also take digestive enzymes when I am able to actually have a small meal. They also help. I have had this bad bout before but it was 3 - 4 years ago. The last time it lasted about 9 days and then all of a sudden my system went back to normal.

Yes I have terrible digestive issues. They started last year with some peri symptoms I actually thought I was going crazy. It started out with heart burn then kept getting extremely gassy and painful bloating. My bowels went crazy sorry tmi but I either went to much or not enough I was fatigued and dizzy. Finally went to gastroenterology doc who diagnosed me with ibs. I use to be able to eat dairy and have milk ..nope not anymore I cant eat onions greasy food or to rich of foods. I get acid reflux very bad..and then the health anxiety started which made it worse. Now I avoid those foods at a cost i eat smaller portions and if something I eat bothers me I take it out of my diet for awhile. The apple cider vinegar is great for the acid reflux. Right now I'm going through a bout of gastritis it's the worst 3 days now.. ugh when will it end😝😝

FODMAP helped me a lot. Was on it for about 2 years.

Have followed fodmap diet for years due to stomach and bowel issues. It definitely helps a lot but you can still have flare ups through your cycle. Just be patient with it as it takes time but absolutely worth the effort. I also keep my carbs very low.

    Hi all

Thanks for your responses like some of you I was having herendous flatulence issues and acid reflux. I am a vegetarian and was limiting the foods I can eat even more and running out of recipes! The gluten free pasta has helped with the flatulence but I still get a tightening feeling in the middle of my boobs! Though have noticed if I rest and do nothing it sometimes gets better!

Did anyone notice a difference in their stools? Sorry but i have only been on the FODMAP for a week and my stools are very different!

I was very interested to read the comment about proton pump inhibitors!!!  I find any of them give me such cramps and pain in my side I can’t take them and that is about all that is on offer from doctors.

Ive tried the ACV (watered down) but eventually I was burning so much inside I had to stop.  It didn’t do anything for me.

I've just bought Aloe Vera with cranberry but first tablespoon full yesterday and boy I was full of indigestion and fire.

Nothing seems to suit me.  Arghhh!

I have never been tested for intolerances, do you get that from the doctor I the UK?

One tip: figs contain an enzymes that aids digestion so they are about all I can take that actually helps this a bit.

Our organs have a mucus lining with the intestines and bladder being the two that bother me the most and can be damaged. I have searched for relief for awhile and blogs of personal relief have helped me heal.  Aleo Vera in pill form has help me tremendously. I was burning also and I stopped eating ALL acidic foods and ate fruits and veggies for a year.  It seems the ketchup, bbq sauce, juices set me on fire. I still eat them in moderation. Preservatives seem to be my enemy. I still rarely have a carbonated drink and really pay if I do.  Cokes make my joints hurt. I switched to coconut water and the coconut BAI drinks. I drink electrolyte powder I pour in bottled water as I noticed dehydration that was becomingban issue. I like hydration IV packets. If our bodies become too acidic it can increase disease chances. I see it as my body trying to warn me.  Prelief has helped, licorice, aleo Vera, HCL. Take it slow. It’s overwhelming. Increasing salads was the help I needed. Then fruits. Water. I cut out gluten as I tested High. One day at a time. I rarely eat dairy and my sinuses have improved. Migraines were daily those down to once a week. Everything just came crashing in at once for me. I guess my body maxed out. Good luck.
