Strange noises coming from my anus area like growling but not passing wind

This has been going on now for nearly 3 years. I hear growling noises coming from my stomach and near my anus. It feels like wind and gas, but don't actually pass wind. I have had blood tests and stool samples and everything is normal. This is really embarrassing when I am in meetings. This all started about a year after I lost my wife to cancer. I feel I need to see a gastrointestinal doctor now. I don't pass any blood and the stools are normal although some days I can go to the toilet up to 4 times a day.

Has anyone had any similar symptoms?
