Hi, recently I had slight aches in my jaw for a week or so (could be unrelated) however following this time period in the past 4 days an ulcer like spot has appeared in this area of my mouth. It's very uncomfortable due to the positioning and it's difficult to open my jaw. I'm concerned as I've never encountered ulcers in this area of my mouth and the previous aching I mentioned has got me worried.
Is this something I should go to the GP about or is it simply just an ulcer that will fade in the following week?
Below are some photos of the progress over the past 2 days, I do drink a lot of soda and energy drinks so this could be a culprit.

Have you tried rinsing your mouth in salty water. That is usually an initial treatment.

Hi yes, been doing this the past few days!
However I haven't seen any improvement, only seems to get worse, it's less swollen now but it's taking a long time to heal since eating and possibly biting it by accident damages it again. My wisdom tooth is also at the apex of it so it doesn't help.
I'm gonna go to the GP if it hasn't improved by Monday.
