Struggling

Hi everyone, i am new to all this and need people to talk to as family etc don't understand.
I am currently working full time and have had depression on and off for a few years now, I'm currently taking Fluoxetine, week 5/6 and the sleep deprevation is doing me in.
I'm really struggling with the fatigue during the day and i think people at work are beginning to notice i am being a bit odd. Things is i don't really know how to handle this, do my employers really need to know i am on medication?
How does anyone else who is working get on?
Advice very welcome

Some people i have read have told there work but others havnt. I havnt if im being honest i just wanted to try and get thru it without any fuss etc but it is hard. Some of my close friends at work know im having a rough time just now. The tiredness is a killer hey. it drives me mad. I think this is my 7th week now and i still am no way near sleeping like i used to but i am getting better at it. Let us know how you feel ok each day and keep posting. everyone supports each other as we all know what we are going thru.

Thanks for the feedback. I am so struggling,it just seems to be getting worse, i have so many feelings of anxiety and my confidence is rock bottom, i don't know where to turn.
I think that maybe i will have to talk to my boss soon as i can't keep turning up at work looking like death, with no apparent reason!
My GP suggested counselling a while back, but there is no NHS support in my area and it is quite expensive, so i haven't got round to that yet.
I guess i need to get to the bottom of why i feel like i do before i willever understand it and can maybe eventually help myself get better.

Click the link below to read information about employment and depression.
Personally, I think it is in your best interest to let your employer know of your illness.
If you are not performing as well as normal or you behave in an irrational way due to your illness your employer may very well be a little more understanding, which could in the end save your job.
When i went of sick last year my GP asked if I wanted him to put something else on my sick note
I declined and said anxiety/depression would be fine.
When i went back to work I got a lot of support and returned to my position gradually over a few weeks.
Anyway, at the end of the day i think it has to be your choice.
I hope you find the information in the link below of use.

I will look in more detail at the link u have sent me.
It took me so long to pluck up the strength to go see my GP in the first place to explain things, i think i will find it very hard to speak with my boss. During a recent appraisal, i found myself near to tears and had to keep drinking water just to get through it (thats when i finally realised i needed help) even though it was a good review!
I have a couple of other health issues too which don't help my situation (High BP and Glaucoma) and p[robably contribute to my feelings of anxiety and stress.
Thanks again for the advice
