Struggling

Hi Everyone 

I'm really struggling with the pain low down in my stomach. 

As well as diverticulitis  I  also have  painful  bladder   syndrome  and 

can't tell which is causing the pain.      I  do have loose bowels  too.

I'm taking all my pain meds but  nothing helping.   Anyone got any ideas 

on what to do about  the  pain. .   Paramedics  said  hospital  won't do 

anything  and  manage  it at home .

    Hi Linda. I sympathise with you as i'm in the same position. I have diverticulitis and have been in constant pain for a month and the only painkillers I have are paracetomol. They are mild and don't even touch  the pain. I can't take codiene anymore as it makes me ill. I waiting to see my surgeon to see if he can help me. I'm taking mophine once a day and this is the only relief I have.I need something in between. I think you should go back to the hospital too, Get your doctor to refer you to see a specialist. There,s no easy answer.

    It is best to get with primary physician with this condition because it is tricky.  The doctors don't really know a lot about this condition but to treat with antibiotics and pain meds.  The antibiotics will get rid of the infection, however the pain meds doesn't work. Not even at high mg. I don't take pain meds at all.  I only have one flare up with this condition.  I have maintained by following a very little meat, very little fried food, gas filled veggies and pop corn diet.  Relax when feeling stressed.  These are the triggers of this condition, diet and stress.  When you are stressed you should avoid eating anything solid and do a liquid diet.  i also take probiotics to restore and maintain a healthy gut and you can drink aloe vera juice not the drink to help heal the intestines as well.  The paramedic pretty much told you the truth because on this blog you will find out that we have helped each other with this condition more than the doctors.  Its sad because they make all the money to tell us nothing.
