Hello
I have come to this community looking for some guidance.
2 days ago, felt absolutely fine, mooching around doing this and that, but also a car boot sale in a cold car park that morning. Was watching TV, got up to go and speak to speak to my hubbie and felt a vague "earache" which I commented on but put down to perhaps getting a cold after the CBS.
It began to irritate me even more, very sharp pains, not down my ear but literally infront of it. I had a headache and felt the pain radiate down my jaw. Worse on movement, not on sitting still, eating etc but on deep breath, yawn, movement such as standing up from a sitting position, bending forward. It has remained very much the same since, although discomfort in the tip of my chin last night. Not comfortable to sleep on that side, but no problems sleeping on the other side. No discharge, no heat. I think that side looks slightly more swollen than the other, but it may just be me! Pain killers have made no difference.
I had dental implants to both sides upper jaw completed in August. Not had any problems at all with them and don't feel any pain or discomfort in that side. I am at the hygienist on Thursday so will obviously mention it to her, and have booked a GP appointment for the weekend, but wondered if this is possibly related to TMJ and if so, could you recommend analgesia that would help,
thank you in advance, D

TMJ problems often self correct without the need for any treatment.
Of course inflammation from the dental work may have caused your hearing problems and so could teeth grinding at night.
I suggest you see a doctor to investigate.
