About a month ago I started getting super weird symptoms out of no where, it happened when I was watching a movie with my boyfriend. I started to get super warm and fuzzy all over my body, then my heart started to race and my head felt dizzy and I thought I was dying. It happened on january 15th, and ever since then I have felt physical symptoms 24/7, every second of the day but it feels like it's getting worse. I have tightness in my chest and my head constantly hurts, especially my lower neck. I have sharp pains in my hands and sometimes in my feet, as well as chest pains it feels like. Sometimes I feel like my heart races so fast it feels like I'm going to have a heart attack. My head feels like there is so much pressure that it affects my vision it feels like. I have barley left bed in a month, I'm crying myself to sleep every night almost and I seriously think I have some deathly illness. I've been to the hospital about 6 times and have gotten many tests, but the doctors say that I am completely fine and that it is anxiety. I wake up feeling like this and fall asleep like it, I just want to feel normal again. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

yes Marissa, it sounds like classic anxiety symptoms. Millions of people have had your exact symptoms including myself. But I want you to know that symptoms from anxiety are not dangerous. Just so you know, mine started in my 20s. I have learned over the years how to manage it better and it’s not anywhere near what it used to be. like you, I thought I had some terrible disease but my tests were all normal like yours.
The head pressure, racing heart, pains, tightness and neck can all be attributed to stress and anxiety. I had such painful neck that I had to go to physical therapy for it. A racing heart will not hurt you. It’s just the adrenaline that causes that. Adrenaline is released during anxiety and Millions of people get the racing heart.
i rarely get any symptoms now but if I do, I pretty much ignore them or even laugh at them because I know they are harmless. When you have the right attitude about them, it reduces the power anxiety has over you.
Think about what could be causing anxiety in your life. Work? School? Family? Relationships?
the symptoms of anxiety as scary as they are, are not the problem. The problem is the unmanaged stress and anxiety that brings on the symptoms. The symptoms are simply the result of the stress and anxiety. You need some support right now for this. The more you worry about symptoms, the more you will have because you were telling your brain that something is wrong. So the worst thing you can do is sit around by yourself and overthink all of this!
is there anyway you can get some counseling? This would be very helpful and it helped me a lot. They can show you what to do when you become anxious and get symptoms. This is difficult to manage alone.
in The meantime, there’s a few things you can do. When you feel your heart race, there are some great short meditations on YouTube that will bring your heart rate down quickly.
Search YouTube for something called stop panic attacks now. then scroll down to one called don’t panic in black letters. She will guide you through it and before you know it, your heart rate has settled down. There are many more of these and also some great meditations for general anxiety. But you really need this and support.
I hope you feel better soon and just take one day at a time . ❤
