Sorry to be so critical but MONDAY to return to work! I didnt return for an entire Month..

It's a painful recovery I couldnt sit on my bum for almost a week. Not sure how this will work with 4 days.... watch what you eat before to soften your stool, if you live in Ontario you can apply for sickness benefits they cover you until your able to go back to work look into it.

but 4 days isnt enough time...

the numbing agent they use last 2 days and after you feel everything ... your on high dose of pain killer and your on an awful diet like I couldnt even image me going to work and dealing with what I did.

get everything you need before surgery your not going to want to go anywhere

it depends on the surgery you receive. My doctor suggested to take at least 3 days off. Well after the surgery he wrote me a letter to take a week off since he did not do what we spoke about (rubber band option). He told me he had to cut my internal and external hemorrhoids and they were to big for the rubber band option. I didnt do this but im sure it would have helped. Try eating fruits and veggies a few days before surgery. Also drink a stool softner. I wish i was told to do so since after the surgery a bm is soooo important. I used the bathroom after three day of surgery and it was the worst pain i had experienced even giving birth naturally. i also fainted with a bm-not trying to scare you since not everyone is the same. After I felt better for like 2 days and then caught a fever for 2 days (no infection-er told me it was my body fighting thru the pain). after that I have not gotten better. Its been approximately a week and few days and plan to take another week from work. i also work part time and sitting but I cant even sit for a long time. i also have to use the bathroom alot. i am hoping it gets better. but its just a wait period. good luck. make sure u buy baby wipes unscented. dont use toilet paper. it will hurt and irritate. and donalot of sitz bath or sitting. it helps alot with epsom salt. drink you pain meds you will need it trust me they become the best thing ever. not trying to scare you but be ready for the unexpected pain

they will cut them off internally, if they aren't external still they still are they inside.
