Suspicion of impacted stool

Hey! So this morning I noticed a need to go to the bathroom every couple hours but only a bit of soft to liquid stool passed, the night before I also noticed a lot of gas and growling noises in the abdomen. In the suspicion I tried entering a lubed gloved finger in to the rectum and felt nothing. So I'm not sure what problem I do have if I even have one, the symptoms of slight discomfort and passing of diarrhoea like stool are there but I felt nothing in my rectum and I don't feel particularly constipated or bloated, but i feel a constant growling and the need to go pass stool every few hours is suspicious. I don't want to go the doctor too on a slight suspicion since I'm currently in a foreign country.

    Sometimes with impacted stools you can get soft stools/diarrhoea after you pass the hard stuff. Try a lots of fruit or a laxative.

    Drink plenty of fluid and some hot tea....no milk....
