Swabs are usually pretty accurate it is rare to get a false positive on a swab. The only way would be a lab mix up. Did you get a blood test ?

i have yet to get blood tested. i just truly wonder. i get bv very often and when i had noticed a weird looking raised area on my lower labia i was startled. it did not hurt at all, was just that one area. it only felt irritated like when rubbed against undies but no unbearable pain i often see people describe when describing outbreaks from herpes. when my dr looked at it before swabbing she even highly doubted that it was, i also had bv discharge present at the time i was swabbed. shockingly came back so fast saying positive and blew me. im like wait wait. i guess im in denial but i kind of want to be a one lucky person that got a false pos swab and mistaked my bv discharge for it. i guess wishful thinking but i thought i would ask if it was posible or if anyone else experienced similar

get a blood test at 12-16 weeks for the most accurate test
