Swapped medication

I e been on citalopram 20mg for 13 years for anxiety. Recently I became really depressed and my go swapped me to 50mg sertraline. 8 weeks down the line and I'm suffering with really sore achy muscles and joints in my big toes and my right shoulder. I don't know if this is linked but it's so painful I'm finding the motivation to exercise almost impossible which then doesn't help my mental health. Has anyone else experienced anything like this after stopping citalopram?

hi there,it is not caused by coming off citrolopram, but your new medication has more side effects

Are you kidding ..it most certainly is a withdrawal from celexa and a start up side effects from sertraline!

May be it's the sertraline then. There's no winning, either suffer depression with meds or feel down because if being in pain lol.

    Thanks for replying guys
