I've been on lovan 40mg for servere anxiety since June 2016 it didn't help much at all 24/7 was still thinking of anxiety then my dr got me to swap to lexapro 10mg the 1st 2 weeks were great! I could drive by myself go out to the shops etc then 3rd week went down hill. So he upped my meds to 20mg and the 1st week of that was fine again now 2nd week in and I feel like how I was when I first started taking meds. Anxious scared wake up in tears because I'm so over this feeling I just want to feel normal again. I've had 6 months off work because I'm so scared to go back but I used to love it there. Is this because I upped my dose and will it settle?

I am on a different med but the same thing you describe happened to me when I increased dose. It sounds very normal around that 3 week mark. It will get better!!!

Doctors say 2 to 3 weeks to settle but this is not true it can take 2 to 3 months. When you up dose it's back to square one. It's normal to feel better for a couple of weeks then have a bad week. It settles then you may have another few bad days and these too will settle eventually they get less and less. Stick with it....... Good luck
