symptoms???

I feel like I have been exposed to genital herpes as I have had tingling, itching, lower back pain that goes into my legs, a little amount of discharge, funny feeling around the anal area, headaches (all day, nothing helps) and muscle aches. of course the constant non stop worry. I saw my doc yesterday as I have a new bump down there but she said it does not look like a herpe and wouldn't even culture it because she is not worried, but I feel so icky. I don't know if it's because I have read all these symptoms and am making them up or if they are real. It has been a month since I think I was infected with it and no visible signs besides a bump my doc isn't worried about. I'm still worried.

    Hey there. This is what happened to me exactly!

    So long story short I got a pimple down there, and I freaked out and made an appointment with planned parent hood. Went there and the doctor said I'm freaking out for nothing......

    3 weeks later out of no where I got that same pimple back and I was very itchy and it felt like I had a raw vagina. Like when you were younger and didn't wipe very well....well went to the doctor again but this time my primary physician. She did a papsmear on me. And said I had a bacterial viginosis. Well that was a Tuesday. She gave me antibiotics and I took them until Thursday. I was in so much pain I knew something was wrong. My vagina was swollen! My throat was killing me. I had a 102 fever...couldn't even walk or pee. Just straight miserable. Went back to the doctor that Thursday and the pap came back as bacterial infection and herpes. They gave me valtrex and I was taking it 2 a day started that Thursday and by Monday it was gone. Last Friday I got a blood test and it came back today 02/17/2016 as inconclusive. I'm getting retested in 4 to 6 weeks. But please go to another doctor. Sounds like your getting an outbreak. I'm sorry. My outbreak has taken about 3 weeks to clear up. Still kinda itchy. It's been awful. I've chosen to do supressive therapy to treat it. Good luck to you sad

      Oh man!!! That makes me really sad. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of even having this. like is this real?

      Don't jump to it, until you know. I think the same thing. It's scary to even think I have it myself. I mean it is what it is right? Can't reverse it.

      It is very scary. The more I read the more sick I am. It's helps to know people deal w this but still.. it's so hard and not knowing but feeling terrible til I do sucks too. If Ned's help I want them now.

    Not to freak you out or anything, but those are exactly the same kind of symptoms I had, like word for word. I tested positive for type 1 herpes. I was also throwing up and had a fever. The little amount of discharge could also be Chlamydia, I tested positive for that as well. However that is curable with antibiotics.
