Taking 1st Fluoextine today

Hi all

Have spent the last hour reading this site. I am scared about taking flu and worry about the side affects. i know I have to take them, because life is not great. My partner has taken the brunt of my anger/moods/rejection because of my chaotic life and not being able to deal with anything. Paranoid, stress, panicked etc etc.

So am going to take the first one this evening and hope for the best. Dr wants to see me back in 4 weeks time.....I really hope they work because I really am at my wits end.

How does everyone feel after their first Fluoxetine?

I dont actually feel any different. I couldnt get to sleep, thats quite normal but could be due to the fact I was on my PC till 10:30 with all the lights on! I did wake up at 5am, but again, although not an everyday occurence, can happen. I am paranoid about the side affects, and how I will cope with them. I am trying to be very positive, and have been to the gym for the past 2 mornings, but then barely do anything in the afternoon......

I will see how I feel tomorrow, and I know its only been 1 day, but so far so good. Trying to keep a Positive Mental Attitude. These tablets will help and I will get back to my normal self of a few years ago!!

Take it tonight. I read alot of posts on here and so many of them said that some of the side effects can be kept under wraps because you are asleep. I wasnt told when to take mine, so going for just before bed, figure it will stop me feeling drowsy because already asleep. I do lots of driving so cant afford to be drowsy.

    Good luck

How's it all going everyone? Side effects??!! I was doing pretty good till yesterday. I got up and went to the gym, I got back at 11:30, got on the sofa and didnt move until I went to bed at 6pm. BF took me out in the evening which was ok. Have nausea, and terrible anxiety but no loss of appetite actually more hungry and eating more despite feeling sick quite alot. Wondering if I these pills are actually doing me anygood. Feel like stopping them. Feel worse than I did before I started them. Confused again.
